Believe it or not, it's been over eighteen months since CM Punk last stepped into the Octagon and finally fulfilled his dream of fighting in the UFC. Unfortunately, things did not go well for him and his opponent, Mickey Gall, destroyed him in short order. So, after being given a second chance at last night's UFC 225 in Chicago, just how well did the "Best in the World" fare in his latest fight?

Okay, I guess? While Punk has clearly improved, he was no match for Mike Jackson and ended up being dominated across three rounds which saw him receive multiple strikes and being bloodied up.

Ultimately, the fight wrapped up with Jackson getting the 30-26 nod and while that's not a bad result, it's clear that he's simply not good enough for UFC and it's now highly unlikely we'll see him fight for them again. It is, of course, possible that he'll compete in a smaller company and work his way back up the ranks but given his age, that seems doubtful at this point in time thinking about it!
