Oscar De La Hoya retired back in 2009 after winning 10 World titles in six different divisions. He finished with a record of 39-6 and 30 knockouts. However, it seems like the former boxing champ has been secretly training to get into fighting shape in hopes of getting a shot at Conor McGregor and proving that at the age 44, he can take out "The Notorious One".
Speaking with DashRadio, De La Hoya said, “You know I still have it in me. I’ve been secretly training. Secretly training. I’m faster than ever, and stronger than ever. I know I could take out Conor McGregor in two rounds. I’ll come back for that fight. Two rounds. Just one more. I’m calling him out. Two rounds. That’s all I need. That’s all I’m going to say.”
It seems like everyone wants a piece of Conor McGregor these days and a fight with Oscar De Lay Hoya would surely be big money. It will be interesting to see how McGregor will respond to this. We'll definitely keep you updated on this news.
