Mike Perry is at the center of controversy.
The UFC fighter apparently scuffled with three patrons at the Table 82 restaurant in Lubbock, TX around 10:30 PM on Tuesday night. TMZ was the first to report the news.
According to the article, Perry was asked to leave the restaurant by one of the employees; however, the 28-year-old allegedly punched the person in the eye. However, the video that's surfaced shows Perry leaving the restaurant in the midst of an argument with his girlfriend. Clearly pissed off, the welterweight causes quite a stir, which only got worse when another patron confronted Perry.
After a verbal squabble between both men, where Perry calls the man “fat” and “old”, the older gentlemen gets closer to the fighter; however, Perry instantly drops the man with a haymaker. Instead of leaving, Perry sat down on a ledge and continued to argue and blurt out the n-word on several occasions.
Perry was not arrested, though charges against the UFC fighter could come up later. The man that was knocked out in the video was eventually transported to the hospital with injuries. At this time, there’s no word on whether he’s interested in pressing charges.
Perry addressed the video by simply saying, “no comment”. Perry allegedly hit three citizens inside of the restaurant; however, the fighter claimed that he was simply reacting to others touching him first. Thus far, the UFC has not spoken out about the incident.
