Candice LeRae Will Face Mercedes Martinez In A TAKEOVER: TAMPA Ladder Match Qualifier Next Week

There are still three places let in the NXT Women's Championship No. 1 Contenders Ladder Match at TakeOver: Tampa, and Candice LeRae will face Mercedes Martinez next week to determine the next participant.

Mia Yim and Tegan Nox won their matches to qualify for the NXT TakeOver: Tampa Women's Championship No. 1 Contenders Ladder Match this past Wednesday, and we'll find out who the fourth (Chelsea Green earned the first spot) competitor will be on next week's episode when Candice LeRae takes on Mercedes Martinez.

This is a hard one to call. Martinez only debuted a couple of weeks ago despite being very familiar to black and gold brand fans, and immediately asserted her dominance. LeRae, on the other hand, has been crying out for a decent push for a long time and has more than earned her share of the spotlight.

NXT has also announced that the episode will feature an "NXT Championship Celebration" for Adam Cole. We're not exactly sure what that'll entail, but we can probably expect Velveteen Dream to crash the party.
