Toni Storm has been rumored to be in talks with WWE since competing in the Mae Young Classic; the 22 year old from New Zealand made it to the semifinal round before losing to the eventual tournament winner, Kairi Sane.

According to the recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Storm has officially signed a contract with the company, but it’s a WWE U.K. Superstar deal and not a full-on NXT deal that would force her to relocate to Orlando, FL. As with the other stars under similar contracts, she’ll have free reign to take indie bookings so long as the promotions are on WWE’s list of approved destinations. However, if the company needs her for any reason, her obligation to WWE will contractually always come first.

Storm is scheduled to be a part of the upcoming WWE UK Championship Tournament this June, although no matches or segments have actually been confirmed or announced at this point.
