The NXT UK Champion has made it clear that he’s not fond of his Survivor Series match last year.
While the Triple Threat Elimination Tag Team match created stars out of Keith Lee and Tommaso Ciampa, several talents didn’t farewell so well in the crowded bout. The NXT UK Champion definitely got the worst out of the entire group, as WALTER was eliminated pretty early and easily.
Speaking with
Metro UK, WALTER states that he wasn’t invested in Elimination Style match-up, citing that he just didn’t care about his involvement whatsoever:
“I wasn’t invested in that. I didn’t care, I care about my guys, my group, I care about the sport, but I don’t care about all those people being angry each other. It was a weird match too – three five-men tag teams, and always three guys in the ring. That’s when wrestling turns from competition to putting acrobats in a circus to do a show. There’s 15 of you, you’ve got to do something.”
However, the NXT UK Champion is interested in the Royal Rumble match this Sunday. The 30-man battle royal doesn’t force the 32-year-old to team with men he doesn’t know and the aspect of the Royal Rumble itself is exciting:
“I would love – Royal Rumble, I think it’s a different case. You’re not in there with a group of people you don’t really know, but you have to be in a team with them. In the Royal Rumble, it’s a lot of people but it’s every man for himself.”
