Tonight's Episode Of NXT On The USA Network Will Run Longer Than The Scheduled Two Hours

During the Monday Night Wars, WWE and WCW pulled out a lot of tricks to stop people from changing the channel. One way they went about this was to have RAW or Nitro run past their allotted time to drive up ratings (as people would tune in for the next show and catch some of Nitro in the process).

Well, following the news that NXT will air on the USA Network with limited commercial interruption - to stop fans from switching over to All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite on TNT - it's now been revealed that tonight's episode is expected to run until 10.15pm.

This means they will be on the air longer than AEW but it's worth noting that a repeat of Thunder will air immediately after the show ends, just like when Nitro was on TNT. Presumably, WWE is hoping that going fifteen minutes longer will mean fans aren't tempted to change the channel at all tonight.
