USA Network May Be Considering Moving NXT To Another Night So It No Longer Competes With AEW

Has the Wednesday Night War reached its conclusion? Since it began last year, All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite has beaten NXT on all but a handful of occasions, both in terms of total viewership and the key 18 - 49 demographic. Needless to say, WWE is extremely unhappy with that, and it seems the USA Network is ready to take action.

According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE and USA Network officials have already discussed moving NXT to a different night, but no decision has been made, so it won't be happening just yet.

"Over the past month or so, discussions have transpired regarding NXT moving off Wednesday nights," the popular Twitter account reveals. "No decision imminent, however, talks are ongoing. The numbers over the next 2 weeks might have some impact on this decision."

NXT definitely benefited from airing on a Tuesday, and the show will be considerably more valuable to advertisers when it pulls in bigger numbers. It's likely last night's Dynamite will have also drawn much higher numbers without competition, but if WWE moves...well, they would be accepting that they've been defeated!
