“The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” was able to retain his Impact World title in a great back and forth match against Moose at Slammiversary. However, the night after the big summer event, a new challenger was revealed for Austin Aries.

Eddie Edwards has been taking a darker (and often murderous) path since the accidental incident with Sami Callihan earlier this year. Edwards was able to beat hardcore legend Tommy Dreamer and then attacked Aries the following Thursday.

Last night, Impact Wresting officially announced that Austin Aries will defend the Impact World Championship next Thursday night against Eddie Edwards in what should be a gem of a match!
