In the craziest match of the night, Ace Austin became the new X-Division Champion!

Not surprisingly, the ladder match was filled with all kinds of high spots such as a Super Christ cutter from the X-Division Champion to Acey Romero. Another was an insane Canadian Destroyer from Daga that resulted in Christ going through a ladder outside of the ring.

The match-up came down to Tessa Blanchard, who once again showcased that she can hang with the big boys, and the former Knockouts Champion came inches away from being the first woman ever to hold the X-Division title; however, Ace Austin snuck into the match, and smashed a baton over Blanchard’s head, knocking her off the ladder. Austin would then grab the belt and win his first title in Impact Wrestling.
