Booker T has addressed reports that he's pulled out of Starrcast III because he's under contract with WWE. Dave Meltzer was first to reveal that the WWE Hall of Famer had dropped out of the event because he didn't want to get in the middle of the war between WWE and All Elite Wrestling (All Out takes place the same weekend as the PPV).

Booker claims that there were "straight up lies" being reported about him and noted that he and wife Sharmell had a great time at Starrcast II. However, he's chosen not to do the show again because it doesn't feel right when he's working for WWE.

He added that when Conrad Thompson offered him the chance to appear, he wasn't aware that it would be for Starrcast III and during the same weekend as All Out. Acknowledging that the war between the two companies is real, he added that what Meltzer said about him not wanting to be caught in the middle was correct.

Alas, this appears to just be the fallout from a brand new wrestling war...
