Goldberg's Son Feels That Bret Hart Has To Let Things Go

Bret Hart has been carrying a grudge against Bill Goldberg since their infamous match in WCW. Goldberg's son, Gage, feels that it's time for the WWE Hall of Famer to let things go.

Did you know that Bret Hart hates Bill Goldberg?

The WWE Hall of Famer has never been shy about his feelings towards the former World Heavyweight Champion. It’s been over 20-years since the unfortunate incident and Goldberg’s son Gage feels that the former WWE Champion needs to get over it.

"You gotta let things go, 100%. You can't keep harping on this one thing when someone is successful. Stuff happens," said Gage to Bill Apter of WrestleBinge.

For Bret Hart, it’s likely not that easy. The WWE legend actually feels that the entire WCW crew were against him from day one. Bret Hart didn’t hesitate to trash Goldberg and WCW on the Who Killed WCW? documentary series earlier this year.

"To watch what WCW did with me, it was sad. They’re killing me off on purpose and they did.

How do you fight Bill Goldberg? He’s like a gorilla, slamming guys through the mat, running them over like a car. I would pull him aside and say I wanna teach you how to actually not hurt guys and when I walked out to the ring with Bill that night I really looked him in the eye and said “Don’t hurt me out there, you need to trust me” and it all went in one ear and out the other.

I really think Bill just saw me as another job guy, someone that was cannon fodder. If you’re watching that match, Bill goes “Watch the kick” and I’m like “Watch the kick?” I don’t understand what he’s doing. He kicked me as hard as he could, you can see me grab my neck, I was concussed."

Goldberg stated that he’s apologized in the past, but Bret Hart has never accepted it. The 67-year-old has criticized Goldberg every chance he got and Goldberg has returned the fire because he’s fed up with Bret ruining his name.

We as fans will never know if Bret Hart is really telling the truth on WCW trying to destroy him. But we can understand why he feels bitter over his career ending earlier than he wanted to.

Still, some people think that Bret Hart needs to let it go. Maybe he will someday. Time can heal all wounds. After all, Bret Hart shockingly came back to WWE after the Montreal Screwjob. Anything is possible, though since the documentary came out recently, it’ll likely take a while longer before Bret has a change of heart on Goldberg.
