After his surprise return at Money in the Bank on Sunday, John Cena kicked off last night's episode of RAW.
Explaining that it was both the fans and Roman Reigns who brought him back to WWE, Cena made it clear he wants the Universal Championship and laid down the challenge for SummerSlam next month. Now, it's going to be up to the Head of the Table to respond on SmackDown this Friday, but he'll surely have plenty to say about the Leader of the Cenation's comments.
In this blistering promo, Cena said he's not interested in making history with a 17th world title win, and instead branded Reigns an "a**hole" before stating that the "pathetic Roman Reigns experience" has outstayed its welcome. He also described the Big Dog as an overexposed gimmick who is not as over as he claims.
Cena then confirmed he will be at SmackDown this week and can't wait to confront Reigns.
Matt Riddle then hit the ring for a brief exchange with Cena, though it was played for laughs more than anything else (they said "Bro" a few times before Cena made his exit).
