Simply put, Cody Rhodes doesn’t want to lose.

Last week, the AEW Executive Vice President faced off against Shawn Spears in the first-round of the TNT Championship Tournament and walked out victorious. However, for Rhodes, the win was more than just ensuring his opportunity at becoming the first-ever TNT Champion was still a possibility, but his victory was the start of the Georgia native getting back on track in the win column.

For Cody, Double or Nothing and All Out saw the 34-year-old gaining solid momentum before Dynamite officially started off in October; however, while no fault of his own, Cody failed at capturing the AEW World Championship at Full Gear and at Revolution, the third-generation star was unable to get revenge against the man that forever costed him a world title shot.

In Cody’s latest promo, he explains how his losses to Chris Jericho and MJF have heavily weighed on his mind and why he needs to win the TNT Championship unlike Colt Cabana, Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, and Lance Archer. The AEW Executive Vice President briefly talks about each participant and makes it clear that each man is very talented; however, he points out the faults with each competitor in the eight-man tournament.
