Former WWE Superstar Serena Deeb Is Now An Official Member Of The AEW Roster

Fans had hoped to see Serena Deeb become a regular fixture in the All Elite Wrestling Women's Division after her recent showing against Thunder Rosa, and it's now been made official: Serena is All Elite.

Serena Deeb recently faced NWA Women's Champion Thunder Rosa on Dynamite, and the match was hailed as one of the best women's bouts in AEW history. Because of this, fans hoped that it wasn't going to be a one-and-done appearance from Deeb, and it's now been confirmed that she's officially signed with the company.

WWE fans will no doubt remember Serena as the bad-headed chick from CM Punk's Straight Edge Society, and she also competed in the first Mae Young Classic. Deeb began working as a coach for NXT shortly after, before returning to showcase her considerable talents on the independent scene.

AEW's Women's Division hasn't really established itself yet and there doesn't seem to be a clear plan or direction for many of its competitors, so bringing someone with Serena's experience on board is a smart move. Another clever play would be throwing as much money at Thunder Rosa to convince her to stick around for as long as possible!

Be sure to tune in to Dynamite this Wednesday to (hopefully) see Deeb in action.
