Starting on March 6, wXw (Westside Xtreme Wrestling) will hold their annual 16 Carat Gold Tournament with the winner getting a shot at the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship.

The promotion has confirmed that former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Lio Rush will take part of the 3-day single elimination tournament, though his opponent for the first round has yet to be confirmed. The NXT superstar hasn’t done much since dropping the title to Angel Garza last year, though Rush does still make frequent appearances on the black and yellow brand.

The tournament also features several other notable names such as Eddie Kingston (NWA), Alex Shelley (ROH), Bandido (ROH), PROGRESS Champion Cara Noir, Lucky Kid, and Mike Bailey. The event will have numerous matches such as David Starr putting his career on the line against Bobby Guns for the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship. NXT UK Champion WALTER will also make an appearance at the show.
