Dustin Rhodes, a.k.a. Goldust, has been a staple in WWE for a number of years now but he announced his departure from the company last month and will square off with his brother Cody at All Elite Wrestling's Double Or Nothing PPV this weekend.

Now, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion has opened up on some of the creative issues he had with WWE and it seems he grew frustrated with the lack of interest they had in using him on TV.

"AEW is gonna open a lot of eyes and shock the world," he says. "I think everybody is rushing to up their ratings and entertainment value. Let’s face it, the creative team in the other company [WWE]… you pitch so many ideas and nothing ever gets done. They never take your idea seriously and then you have to bypass them and go to the boss [Vince McMahon]."

"That stuck with me for a long time and I’m sure it stuck with Cody. What he’s doing right now is taking on the world and taking on everybody. Everybody’s gonna be in his rearview mirror and he’s out to prove a point. He’s Dusty’s son and he’s got that knack of entertainment and the smart business savvy sense that Dad had with booking and creating."

While All Elite Wrestling has no interest in filling its roster with former WWE Superstars, including the likes of Dustin Rhodes and Chris Jericho is a good way to entice WWE fans to check out AEW's first PPV. We'll have the results from the event for you this weekend.
