Big Cass Reflects On Personal Issues After Leaving WWE; Vows To Be The Biggest Pro Wrestling Star In The World

As we told you earlier today, former WWE Superstar Big Cass squared off with Jon Moxley at a recent Northeast Wrestling show at Six Flags Slam Fest on Saturday night in New Jersey. While he didn't emerge victorious from that bout, he did record a promo after the bout in which he addressed a number of topics.

For starters, he talked about getting back into shape after some substance abuse issues after initially hitting the indie scene following his WWE release.

"The last time people saw me I was fat, I was drunk, and I was out of shape, I was on the floor and going to the hospital because I had a seizure," he says. "My life was falling apart [and I had] mental health issues, I was an alcoholic – all of that. Six months later, I’m 300 f***ing pounds. I’m a tank, I’m shredded, I look amazing and in the best shape of my life."

After giving Moxley credit for defeating him, Big Cass (who now appears to be going by the name "CazXL") made it clear that he plans to do big things moving forward. "CazXL is gonna be coming for everybody. Indies, AEW, WWE, everybody watch out. I’ll be the biggest name in the industry in about 12 months."

That's a bold claim and only time will tell whether he will live up to it. Either way, it's good to see him looking healthy and clearly ready to make an impact.
