The build for the IWGP Intercontinental championship match at Wrestle Kingdom 13 has intensified!

Chris Jericho made a surprise appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 13‘s press conference in Tokyo, Japan and its safe to say that the situation between the two foes didn’t end smoothly. The IWGP Intercontinental champion consistently berates Tetsuya Naito throughout the interview until the Los Ingobernables de Japon leader finally lost his cool and spit water into Jericho’s face.

A wild brawl ensued between Naito and Jericho until NJPW officials intervened between the two competitors. Naito looks to avenge his lost at Dominion earlier this year at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s biggest event on January 4, 2019.

Check out the footage below. The entire Wrestle Kingdom 13 press conference is now available for viewing, completely free, on NJPW World.

Of course, it didn't end there as Jericho got the last laugh by attacking his opponent for Wrestle Kingdom 13 earlier today:
