Arn Anderson is officially all elite.
The WWE Hall of Famer originally made his debut for AEW back at All Out during the Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears match-up, where “The Enforcer” gave Spears a Spinebuster. Since then, the 61-year-old hasn’t been seen on AEW Dynamite (though he did appear as a special commentator for AEW Dark); however,
Justin Barrasso first reported the news of Anderson’s new role in the company.
Cody confirmed the speculation that he hired the wrestling legend as a Personal Advisor and Head Coach for the 2020 Season. The AEW Executive released a lengthy statement on why he’s decided to bring on Anderson as a Personal Advisor and Head Coach:
“One of my greatest fears came true as I lost the opportunity to wrestle for the World Championship again. But, on the other side of that fear is freedom to chase every other accolade outside of that title. I still want to collect all the accolades I can and dominate the singles division. That’s why I’m bringing in Arn Anderson as my personal advisor and head coach. He has been in business with my family for over three decades. Having been a wrestler throughout so many different generations of talent, he understands what ingredients it takes to look beyond the horizon and produce the best content and results.”
Anderson will make his first appearance this Wednesday, as Cody Rhodes is set to take on Darby Allin on the first 2020 live episode of AEW Dynamite.
