Cody Rhodes Issues Statement As He's Named Executive Vice President Of ALL ELITE WRESTLING

Well, Cody Rhodes clearly isn't heading back to WWE any time soon because following the official All Elite Wrestling reveal earlier today, he's now confirmed that he'll serve as the company's EVC. Take a look!

Since leaving WWE, Cody Rhodes has elevated himself from a midcard wrestler to one of the biggest stars on the planet. That's not all, though, as the son of legendary Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes has also helped to revolutionise the Indy Wrestling scene. Now, he's taking that one step further by becoming the Executive Vice President of All Elite Wrestling, a game-changing new role for him.

As you can see below, he's clearly excited to share his knowledge both behind and in front of the camera, while that last line has to be a not so thinly veiled dig at WWE's recent promise of a "New Era."

Based on what we know so far, AEW could be WWE's first real competitor since WCW and if nothing else, it will certainly put NXT on notice. What do you guys think of this latest development? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section and stay tuned for more updates as we have them.
