Fans RIOTED After Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) Defeated Nick Gage For The GCW World Title In A Bloody Match

During last night's GCW Homecoming event, Matt Cardona - who many of you will likely remember best as Zack Ryder in WWE - pulled off an upset win when he defeated Nick Gage to become the new GCW World Champion. He had a little help from RSP, while Chris Jericho's "Judas" theme also distracted the former titleholder at one point.

Despite that, there was no sign of Jericho before he faces Gage on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, but this was a suitably brutal match that saw both him and Cardona left bloodied and bruised.

There were bumps through glass and shots to the head with light tubes, and this was definitely Cardona's chance to show a very different side of himself. However, after the bell rang, fans in the building went nuts, throwing beer, soda, and water bottles into the ring.

After flipping them off, Cardona made his escape, and this was one heck of a match...if you like that kind of thing! They're certainly not for everyone, something we're sure you'll agree with after checking out some of the hard to watch highlights from this clash below:
