Since dropping the belt to Dragon Lee at the G1 Supershow in Madison Square Garden, Taiji Ishimori has been fighting to regain his position at the top of Junior Heavyweight division.

Ishimori has been apart of the 2019 Best of the Super Juniors tournament and up until May 31st, The “Bone Solider” was in second place of A block section of the tournament. He ultimately lost his chance to go to the finals of the competition thanks to Shingo Takagi. However, Ishimori suffered a right shoulder injury during his match-up against the former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champion and was forced to miss the Okayama event today.

The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion was set to team with Jade and Gedo to take on Tiger Mask, Jonathan Gresham, and SHO in a six-man tag team match. At the moment, there aren’t any updates on how severe Ishimori’s injury is.
