Kota Ibushi is officially off the New Beginning tour.

The former NEVER Openweight champion defended his title against Will Ospreay in a very stiff match, but it was a brutal looking elbow to the back of the head that gave Ibushi a concussion.

After Ospreay won the match, Ibushi was stretchered out of the arena. During New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s post-Wrestle Kingdom 13 press conference, the former NEVER Openweight champion was confirmed to be off the New Beginning tour because of his concussion.

There’s no word on when the New Japan star is set to return to action.
