In a new video posted to YouTube, Amazing Red announced that he will be walking away from professional wrestling. Red did state that he will continue to teach and train at House of Glory, a promotion he founded in 2014. The decision comes down to Red's body being damaged after all his years fighting in the squared circle.

Red was scheduled to compete at Destiny & Fight Club Pro on Apr. 4 and House of Glory on Apr. 6 but revealed that he would be canceling those bookings. The former X-Division champion stated that he was planning on making this announcement after the WWE Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. He was unable to compete in the CWC due to a broken ankle.

Red has been in the wrestling business for over 20 years; however, his time in TNA/IMPACT Wrestling is the most notable. Red’s had three stints with the company and managed to win the X-Division title three times and is also a former NWA World Tag Team Champion with Jerry Lynn.

Since his release from TNA in 2011, Red has been wrestling low-key on the independent scene in places such as House of Glory. Feel free to check out his fantastic match against Richochet here.
