Hiromu Takahashi is the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion after defeating Will Ospreay in a classic encounter at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

The Los Ingobernables member showed no signs of ring rust after being out for over a year with a potentially career-ending injury. Ospreay smartly played the heel here and worked over his opponent's neck with a series of viscous moves. Hiromu refused to go down, however, and even kicked out of an Os-Cutter.

Will never managed to hit his Storm Breaker, but did get his shoulder up after a Time Bomb. It was then that Takahashi debuted a brand new move (it wasn't named, but resembled an inverted package piledriver) for the pinfall victory.

Expect Ospreay to move up to the Heaveyweight division now.
