It Sounds Like Chris Jericho Will Remain With NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING Throughout 2019

Despite speculation that Chris Jericho could be on his way to the newly launched All Elite Wrestling, a new report claims that both Y2J and New Japan Pro Wrestling would like to keep him in Japan. Take a look!

At Wrestle Kingdom 13, Chris Jericho lost the IWGP Intercontinental Championship to Tetsuya Naito and speculation immediately started running rampant that Y2J was on his way to All Elite Wrestling.

Well, that may not be the case after all and a WWE return also seems to be off the cards. According to Dave Meltzer, while Jericho's contract with NJPW has indeed ended, the company is keen to keep him around (which is understandable after Kenny Omega's departure). It just so happens that he feels the same way and a big match is currently being lined up for him during 2019 with Tanahashi!

It's presumably just a matter of time before a deal between the two parties is reached and this seemingly debunks reports that Jericho is planning to sign with All Elite Wrestling for the next few years.
