Will Kenny Omega ever go to The WWE? It's a question that's been on wrestling fans' minds ever since The Cleaner began having legitimate game-changing matches in NJPW, and while rumors have persisted that he and the other members of the Bullet Club Elite (or is it just The Elite now?) are indeed in talks with the company, we haven't had any solid info on the situation.

Omega has now offered an update while chatting to The Business Times, and based on his comments it doesn't sound like something that's going to happen in the near future... if ever.

“I am sort of very much a part of representing an alternative. If my motivation was money, I would already be in the WWE. I was down on the current product and I wanted to create a style and have matches that my friends, my family and other athletes could watch and enjoy.

There’s a certain kind of-of wrestling fan that will only like a certain style. They think that’s the right way and that’s okay but I’m not trying to impress those people. Those people are already kind of set in their ways. I’m trying to open the world to a different style, what pro-wrestling has the potential to be.”

Omega's contract with New Japan is reportedly up early next year, so there's always a chance he will change his mind before then. But as it stands, the IWGP Champion seems very happy doing what he's doing, and where he's doing it.
