I think we can confirm that Jon Moxley will be wrestling at the Tokyo Dome next year.

The reigning IWGP United States Champion may be out with a minor injury at the moment, but Moxley is surely salivating at the thought of competing at Wrestle Kingdom for the first time in his career (transcript courtesy of www.njpw1972.com):

“100% I plan to be at the Tokyo Dome. I don’t know who I’ll be facing, whether I’m still US Champion. But I’ve been in Wrestlemania, in the G1, and this is the next step. Anyone who’s anyone in Japan has competed in the Tokyo Dome, so I absolutely plan on being there.”

There’s no word on whether officials have any plans for the former WWE Superstar at the big event just yet; however, during the interview with New Japan, Moxley highlights Minoru Suzuki as a wrestler he wants to face in the future. Could we see the two talents collide at the big event?

In the meantime, Moxley is set to make his return to New Japan on October 14 at King of Pro Wrestling, as he’ll defend the IWGP United States Championship against Juice Robinson in a No Disqualification match.
