In addition to David Finlay & Juice Robinson winning the World Tag League tournament, Jon Moxley making his return to New Japan Pro Wrestling was another big moment from the event.

The former IWGP US Champion took out Lance Archer and his tag team partner, Minoru Suzuki. Following the assault, Moxley challenged Archer to a Texas Death Match at Wrestle Kingdom 14. The bout will be for the IWGP United States Championship.

Moxley was stripped of the IWGP US title back on October 13th for failing to show up to his scheduled match against Juice Robinson due to typhoon Hagibis. It was speculated that the current AEW star would be penciled in for Wrestle Kingdom 14, though it was never reported on who his opponent would be.
