Minoru Suzuki got a lot more than he bargained for when he faced off against the legendary Jushin "Thunder" Liger at NJPW Destruction in Kobe last night.

Liger attacked "The King" on his way to the ring, and things soon descended into chaos when both men's stablemates emerged to join the fray. Susuki eventually got the better of Liger and locked on a sleeper, and that's when everything changed.

Jushin hit his opponent with a low blow before removing his own mask to reveal the Joker-like facepaint of the ultra-violent Kishin Liger, who proceeded to spray mist in Suzuki's eyes. Kishin then grabbed a spike and attempted to jam in into the head off Minoru, who beat a hasty retreat and actually looked frightened for possibly the first time in his 30 year career.

This is far from over, and the inevitable Minoru Suzuki vs. Kishin Liger rematch promises to be something to behold.
