As you can see below, All Elite Wrestling - the company being funded by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan - has now been officially announced after patent leaks revealed its existence last year.

With that news comes some huge details courtesy of Dave Meltzer as he's confirmed that a number of wrestlers have indeed already signed multi-year deals with the company. Cody Rhodes has already agreed to join the promotion, while The Young Buck
are expected to sign up shortly.

Chris Jericho's status isn't clear but he recently attended a Minnesota Vikings game and thanked Khan for the seats so discussions must have taken place. As of right now, AEW is said to be eyeing up several offers from TV networks and that means WWE may have some legitimate competition for the first time since WCW went out of business. A lot of questions about the company remain, though!

For example, we don't know how this will impact Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling, or IMPACT. Regardless, this is a big way to kick off 2019 in wrestling news and we'll keep you updated.
