The first night of New Japan's Wrestle Kingdom 14 was as eventful as we figured it would be, with several major title changes. In the most brutal encounter of the show, Jon Moxley regained the IWGP United States Championship from Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match.

This was a pretty insane bout, which saw both men use tables, chairs and even a plastic bag used in an attempt to keep their opponent down. As this was essentially a Last Man Standing match, Moxley was ultimately able to secure a victory by hitting his Paradigm Shift (Death Rider in NJPW) through a pair of tables to keep Archer down for a ten-count.

Afterwards, Mox vowed to settle the score with Juice Robinson once and for all. We'll see that highly-anticipated face-off during Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom!
