RUMOR: NXT's Io Shirai And Velveteen Dream Being Discussed As Potential Main Roster Call-Ups

We know Matt Riddle has now moved to SmackDown, with Dominik Dijakovic a likely call-up for Raw, and a new rumor suggests that both Io Shirai and The Velveteen Dream may soon follow them to the main roster.

Io Shirai and The Velveteen Dream are both currently in their respective title pictures on NXT, but a new rumor indicates that the incredibly popular pair may soon move up to the main roster.

Although there's nothing too solid on this, WrestlingInc reports that The Evil Genius of the Sky and the Purple Prince have "both been discussed backstage as potential main roster call-ups over the last few weeks."

We're sure numerous black and gold brand Superstars are "discussed" for call-ups on a regular basis, so best not to put too much stock in this for the time being. That said, it wouldn't be the first time we've heard that Vince McMahon had shown interest in these highly talented individuals.

The site also notes that Adam Cole's contract is up this August and he's yet to re-sign. Does this mean he may have decided to leave WWE? We seriously doubt it, but if he loses the NXT Championship to Dream this Sunday (a decent possibility, by the way), it'll probably be safe to assume that he will soon move to either Raw or SmackDown.

What do you guys make of this? Would you be sad to see Shirai and Dream go, or do you think it's time for them to move on? Let us know in the comments.
