It was revealed yesterday that charges have been filed against Enzo Amore for rape and WWE understandably suspended him immediately while they investigated the matter. Well, it didn't take them long because it's been confirmed today that the company has parted ways with him. "WWE has come to terms on the release of Eric Arndt (Enzo Amore)," reads the brief statement.

It's surprising that Enzo has been released this quickly but rumour has it that he knew about the allegations and the possibility of charges being filed but decided against cluing WWE in.

If the now former Cruiserweight Champion is ultimately proved to be innocent, it's possible he could return to WWE but for now, his career is seemingly at an end. We'll obviously keep you updated when we have further information but the controversial Superstar could now fade into obscurity.
