WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Will Reportedly Wrestle More Matches Than Originally Thought

It was recently reported that Edge's new WWE contract has him signed up for only three matches a year but it's now been claimed that the Rated-R Superstar will, in fact, work quite a few more dates than that...

Earlier this week, we heard that Edge has agreed to at least three matches a year for the next three years. That meant that, after Sunday's Royal Rumble match, he only had eight contracted bouts left.

At the time, we also heard that he had a total of 25 contracted television appearances (meaning there were only 24 left after RAW) but the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has seemingly clarified matters. While that $3 million a year number is correct, the number of dates is not.

"We are told that the money figure is correct," the newsletter reads, "but the date numbers are not accurate and that there are more matches and dates involved in the deal." This is great news as it means we'll get to see even more of Edge moving forward.

That may ultimately depend on his health, of course, but providing everything goes well in that respect, there's really no reason to suspect he won't become a regular presence on WWE programming.
