WWE Has Reportedly Met With Disney, Fox, And More About Creating New Programming

We already get a lot of WWE programming on a weekly basis but are you ready for even more? According to a new report, the company has met with a number of networks and they're interested in airing new content.

Business is good for WWE in terms of both revenue and profitability and so it probably won't surprise you to learn that Vince McMahon is now looking for ways to expand the company. Earlier this week, we learned that they're in talks with Facebook about a new Live show and now it's been revealed that they may be looking at bringing programming to other channels outside of the USA Network.

WWE's contract with them to broadcast RAW and SmackDown Live runs through September 2019 but they could still create shows for other networks and it seems those outlets are interested.

Apparently, WWE has held meetings with Fox, Disney, CBS, Amazon, and YouTube, all of whom may be interested in WWE. In the case of Fox Sports, their contract with UFC is coming to an end and they view WWE as "acceptable replacement programming" for the octagon based fights. Does this mean we'll start seeing NXT or a third weekly show on the air? It's too soon to say right now.
