Bandido is the new PWG World Champion!

The 2019 Battle of Los Angles tournament winner finally got his title match at The Makings Of A Varsity Athlete event, which also featured Orange Cassidy, Rey Fenix, and David Starr on the big independent show. Bandido defeated Jeff Cobb – who held the belt for an astounding 428 days – to win the PWG World Championship for the first time in his career.

Despite dropping the belt to the Lucha Libre wrestler, Cobb’s title reign was an impressive feat for the former ROH World Television Champion. During his time as the world champ, he defeated talents such as WALTER (NXT UK), Trevor Lee (WWE’s Cameron Grimes), Jonathan Gresham (ROH), and even Bandido back in January. Cobb has the fourth longest title reign in the company’s history.
