Mance Warner isn’t leaving MLW anytime soon.

It was reported last week that AEW had interest in the “Southern Psychopath”; however, Major League Wrestling has shut down any hopes of Warner joining the promotion right now.

According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Warner has reportedly requested his release from the company, but MLW ultimately turned it down. There’s no word on why Warner had asked for his departure nor is there a reasoning behind the company’s decision to keep Warner under contract.

The report states that Warner is trying to get out of his current and has lawyers involved. Haynes did ask MLW about the situation and their simple response was “all we’re saying is he [Mance Warner] remains under a deal.”

Warner has been fighting in the promotion since early 2019 and is a prominent feature of MLW. While the 32-year-old hasn't held any titles within the promotion thus far, Warner has had incredible battles against Sami Callihan, LA Park, Jimmy Havoc, and Bestia 666. We’ll keep you updated with this story when more news comes to light regarding the MLW/Mance Warner situation.
