Marty "The Villain" Scurll is set to compete in the 16-man tournament that begins on Friday, April 10 in Columbus and Saturday, April 11 in Pittsburgh. Thus far, Scurll has the most impressive resume in the tournament as the 31-year-old is currently the longest reigning ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champion and also a former ROH World Television Champion.
In addition to those titles, Scurll won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship, Progress World Championship, British Cruiserweight and Heavyweight Championships, and so many more titles from various promotions.
Scurll is one of the top talents currently in Ring of Honor and is surely a future ROH World Champion; however, in the meantime, "The Villain" will look to add another belt to his lengthy resume.
Scurll joins Tracy Williams, Slex, Alex Shelley, Mark Haskins, Jonathan Gresham, Doug Williams, and Rocky Romero for a chance to make history and become the first Pure Champion since 2006. The Pure Championship tournament begins on Friday, April 10 in Columbus and Saturday, April 11 in Pittsburgh.
