Jay White will step up and challenge Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship on September 22.

The IC title opportunity for the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion stems from his victory over the Los Ingobernables de Japon leader in the G1 Climax tournament. In securing a three count over Naito, White advanced to the finals where he fought Kota Ibushi. The Bullet Club leader would ultimately lose to Ibushi in a fantastic match-up between the New Japan talents.

The main events for the other two Destruction shows, which take place in Beppu on September 15 and Kagoshima on September 16, have yet to be announced.

The Young Lions Cup will also make its return for the Destruction event, which will see the talents of New Japan’s LA Dojo fighting against the Japanese Dojo. The tour will run through the Kobe show, where the winner will be announced.
