In a very strong showcase of technical wrestling, Timothy Thatcher and Tom Lawler had a battle for the ages.

The former MLW World Heavyweight Champion is looking to get back into title contention, but in order to even think about getting a title shot, he had to go through the ultimate badass and technical wrestler first.

Both men displayed a skilled mat based game that highlighted their submission and striking arsenal. Towards the end, Lawlor and Thatcher had a stiff headbutt exchange, which was won by the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion. After a few ground and pound punches, Lawlor locked in a rear naked choke and Thatcher tapped out.
