WWE Is Reportedly Planning To Release Top NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream Following Recent Allegations

Troubling, but seemingly unfounded, accusations were made against NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream earlier this year, but with another wave doing the rounds thanks to #SpeakingOut, it seems his days are numbered.

In what's bound to be a major blow to NXT, it's looking like the brand could lose top star Velveteen Dream. With the #SpeakingOut movement empowering victims to speak out about abuse they've suffered in the wrestling industry, a fresh wave of allegations that Velveteen Dream has been sending inappropriate messages to underage girls once again started doing the rounds last week.

WWE has yet to respond to this, but Jack Gallagher, Travis Banks and El Ligero have all been released by the company following similar sexual abuse allegations. However, with the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast indicating that two WWE sources have told them Dream's days in WWE are numbered, things certainly aren't looking good for him.

On another note, Sean Ross Sapp has also indicated that there's negative news coming about Dream soon which is unrelated to those allegations, and it's possible that was a reference to the news that broke last night about Dream being involved in a car accident. He was apparently released from the hospital a few hours later, and there's currently no word on the circumstances behind that.

It definitely feels like Dream's days are numbered, but we'll be sure to keep you guys updated with what happens.
