Ethan Page is back in the Impact zone.
Just when the days of Ethan Page in TNA Wrestling were done, the former NXT Champion made his surprise return on last night’s episode. It was during a segment with Frankie Kazarian, who seemed determined to finally cash in on his title opportunity at Rebellion. Frankie won the 2024 Bound for Glory Call Your Shot Gauntlet match, earning him the right to challenge for the TNA World Championship at anytime and any place.
But Ethan Page decided to crash the party and ruin Kazarian’s moment. The 35-year-old talked to Santino Marella and he granted him the opportunity to face Joe Hendry for the title. As you can imagine, Kazarian wasn’t particularly happy about that so he tried to attack Page, but the former NXT Champion outsmarted Kazarian and sent him flying out of the ring.
A Triple Threat match between Page, Joe Hendry, and Kazarian was made official later that evening.
Before AEW, Page made his name in TNA/Impact Wrestling. The NXT star was mainly in the tag team division and he had a memorable run with Josh Alexander as The North. The duo held the Impact World Tag Team titles twice, with their first reign being 380 days. Their second run was only 21 days.
Page never won any singles titles during his time with Impact Wrestling. His final appearance was in 2021 at Hard to Kill where he was well…killed in a cinematic by his alter ego, The Karate Man. Page didn’t exactly leave the company on good terms. He actually released a statement voicing his displeasure over the way Impact handled the Karate Man storyline.
However, time heals all wounds and the current regime is not the same as when Page was an Impact regular. The Triple Threat match at Rebellion should be fun! Who knows, maybe Ethan Page could be walking out as a double champion since all signs point to him challenging Ricky Starks for the NXT North American Championship at Stand & Deliver.
