Jordynne Grace’s time in TNA is almost up.
Ever since the former TNA Knockouts Champion made her surprise appearance in the 2024 Royal Rumble, many people assumed that it was only a matter of time before Grace makes her way over to WWE. That could be true as of January 19th, as Fightful Select reports that the 28-year-old’s contract runs up until Genesis weekend. Though her match against Tessa Blanchard has yet to be made official, TNA is clearly building a bout between the former Knockouts Champions.
Once she’s done with the second-generation star then she’ll be a free agent, that means she’ll be available for the 2025 Royal Rumble. Naturally, Grace has always wanted to join the WWE. There’s been times in the past where her contract ended and she opted to explore free agency. The TNA Knockout is an accomplished wrestler who has won that prestigious championship four times. Grace has also won the Knockouts Tag Team titles as well. She pretty much did everything she could do in TNA and now’s the perfect time for her to transition into the WWE.
But as to why Grace didn’t previously make her way into the WWE, she was always nervous about how the company would use her, and felt comfortable in her position in TNA, “I really, truly think it’s been about timing. There’s been a few times in my career my contract’s been coming up, and I’ve talked to WWE, and I kept staying in TNA because it was where I was comfortable, and I didn’t know how WWE was going to treat me." Grace told McKenzie Mitchell. "It’s kind of crazy to me that it wasn’t the time then, but it’s the time now, and now I get the best of both worlds. Everything works out exactly the way it’s supposed to.”
Since Grace is still under contract with TNA then there’s no word on when she could make her debut. It’s possible that she’ll start down in NXT first as Grace is no stranger to the developmental brand, but there’s no word on what kind of plans the company has for her should she make the jump. Either way, it’s exciting that the WWE women’s division will be adding another talented name to the roster. It’s one of the big reasons that TNA brought back Tessa Blanchard because they wanted to fill the void of a top talent leaving their promotion.
