Ridge Holland is going to be out of action for a while.
Several weeks ago, the NXT star shockingly attacked the number one contender to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Mike Santana. Holland revealed that he cut a little deal with Trick Williams and planned to take out the TNA star at Victory Road. However, that didn’t happen as Santana soundly beat the 37-year-old at the Impact Plus exclusive.
However, that wasn’t going to be the end of Ridge Holland in TNA. During TNA’s latest set of tapings, the returning NXT star suffered another setback during a match against Moose. Unfortunately, Holland suffered a legitimate injury. The match was called off because Holland could put any weight on his foot to continue. It’s unknown what spot Holland suffered the injury, but he needed the referee and Moose himself to help him to the back.
It’s been confirmed that Holland suffered a Lisfranc injury. What is a Lisfranc injury? It’s a foot injury that affects the joints and the bones in the midfoot, which is known as the Lisfranic joint. Holland himself announced the injury and revealed that he’s set for surgery on October 3. At the moment, there’s no timetable for his return.
This is a shame too as Holland has been M.I.A for most of 2025. Not due to injury as the company didn’t really have him doing much in the development brand. The last time he competed on NXT was in a battle royal in May. Since that time, Holland had been fighting in Evolve until his surprising return in the TNA/WWE war two weeks ago. It finally seemed that Holland was getting back into the groove of main storylines until the injury happened.
Nevertheless, there’s no reports on what Holland’s plans were going forward. There’s also no mention on whether he was planned for the upcoming Showdown special on NXT Tuesday. Whatever the case may be, here’s wishing the best for Holland in his recovery. We'll keep you updated if anything new pops up.
