Former X-Division champion Sonjay Dutt and Impact Hall of famer Abyss are officially gone from Impact Wrestling.

It was first speculated that the duo left the company by PWInsider; however, Wrestling Inc contacted President Ed Nordholm, who confirmed that both talents were indeed finished with promotion:

"We reached an amicable agreement with Sonjay and Abyss to allow them to pursue this opportunity. They have been tremendous contributors to IMPACT Wrestling and we wish them every success. We are thrilled that Konnan and Tommy Dreamer have agreed to bring their 50+ years of experience to our core creative team."

Dutt was first an X-Division talent for the company between 2003 and 2009, then later transitioned into a key role on the creative side for Impact in the last few years.

Abyss has been with Impact Wrestling since the company formed in 2002 and has won nearly every title the promotion had to offer. The former TNA World Heavyweight champion also switched to a backstage role within the last few years as a producer.

Both men are expected to end up in the WWE, though it’s not clear yet what roles Dutt and Abyss will play in the company. The departures were said to be amicable. Konnan and Tommy Dreamer have now been added to the creative side for Impact.
