While neither of them are cleared to compete, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre's rivalry is proving to be a highlight on RAW each week.
At WrestleMania, the Second City Saint was on commentary to see the Scottish Psychopath win the World Heavyweight Championship and, five minutes later, cost him the title shortly before Damian Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
Talking on The Pat McAfee Show, McIntyre - presumably in character - shared what he'd like to do to Punk when he gets his hands on the former AEW star.
"He deserves to be tortured, he deserves to be beaten over and over," he stated. "Even the Claymore, I have to jump up and fall down myself, it hurts me. I just want to punch his stupid face...actually that hurts my knuckles, I want to forearm his stupid face once this bone heels until he's unconscious, not quite finished yet, so he can come back around and I can do it again. I want to make his life complete hell."
"I'll tear you apart on social media, then I'll step from behind the keyboard, I'll tear you apart physically, and if I wasn't already married, I'd take your girl too. That's the kind of troll I am," McIntyre added.
Elsewhere in the conversation, the former WWE Champion expressed his frustration with not being drafted to RAW until the third rout of picks.
"I don't know the right word for it," McIntyre told McAfee. "It's just - this is stupid. This is actually stupid. It doesn't even make me angry, it just perplexed me."
"If that's how you feel, I'll keep proving you wrong," he continued. "I'm going to keep putting in the work and going to keep making sure I keep looking like a WWE Superstar. It seems like these days I'm constantly being asked, 'Why don't half the roster look like wrestlers?'"
"A lot of our roster aren't larger-than-life and pass that 'Airport Test.' They walk through an airport and your eyes are drawn to them and you can't figure out why. You don't have to be my size to have that. But for goodness sake, at least look like an athlete."
McIntyre recently signed a new three-year deal with WWE and is clearly going to be put front and centre in upcoming storylines. Assuming they're both fit and healthy, we'd bet on him and Punk clashing at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland next month.
