Ryback has had lots to say about WWE over the past year or so and seemingly has no intention of ever going back given the nature of his comments. The Big Guy has been doing the rounds on the independent scene and now has his own podcast. It was on the latest edition of that that Ryback made his feelings clear about John Cena. Again.
"I feel, and I wish I was even higher than I was when I did what I did because I always wished somebody in Cena’s position would stand up and actually have the balls to do things right," he said of his position in WWE. "And if you love [pro] wrestling, you say, ‘stand up for the [pro] wrestlers.’ But he hasn’t and he never will because it’s all about the money."
This is pretty much just more of the same from Ryback as he clearly has an issue with the fact he was never able to rise up to the level of Cena in WWE. However, he did at least make one valid point in regards to how the company cuts corners by treating wrestlers as independent contractors.
"For publicly traded companies, I think [pro] wrestlers should be employees with benefits and company health insurance," he explained. "I don’t think wrestlers should be independent contractors when they are told what to do and when to do things. Why should they buy their own health insurance when they’re working for a company that’s publicly traded. That’s my opinion."
