The indie wrestler has received quite the backlash since being announced for the upcoming NWA Pop-Up Event; however, Arquette responded to the negativity by trashing the criticism he continues to receive.

It’s been quite a year for former WCW World Heavyweight champion David Arquette.

The actor returned to professional wrestling back in the summer due to growing tired of fans chastising him for winning the WCW World Heavyweight title 18 years earlier.

Arquette’s been wrestling around the independent scene looking to gain the respect of fans who’ve been giving him crap for all these years, but it appears that some fans refuse to give the actor turned wrestler the respect he’s looking for.

Yesterday, NWA announced David Arquette would be wrestling at the upcoming Pop-Up Event on January 5 in Nashville, Tennessee. There was quite a backlash on the announcement that Arquette would be apart of the NWA Pop-Up Event, which prompted the independent star to respond to the negativity from some in the wrestling community:
